3D Printing fun

There is something mesmerizing watching a 3D printer perform its work, layer by layer. Recently I have had the opportunity to make some prints for my sports club. I have made a keyring with the club’s logo, using 2 colours.

To start off the process, I took the image of the logo and realized that it was not going to work as the quality was pretty bad, and shading meant a clear line could not be drawn out. I need a perfect line as I want part of the logo to be embossed with the different colour. So I had to redraw the logo using Illustrator. Once accomplished, I had difficulties with the print as some lines were too thin and the different type of plastic I was using didn’t make a great bond. So after refining the model and investing in new filament, this is the result.

As you can see, It looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to sell some more!

  1. Hello, j’aime beaucoup votre site, je suis étudiante en ingénierie et je cherche un stage. Auriez-vous des propositions afin que je vienne pour un stage d’observation de 2 semaines?
    Bonne journée,
    Cordialement,
